Langley Cottages

Located directly adjacent to the Inn at Langley on Whidbey Island, this small mixed-use project exploits the challenges imposed by the very steep site. ‘Refuge and Prospect' drive the concept. Concrete walls restrain the hillside creating deep internal spaces, while northern elevations provide a release that extends to the vistas out across the Saratoga Passage.

Walled gardens and heavy trellises enhance the relationship of ground, building, water and sky.
